Justin Spurgin comes on the split to talk about is very recent exit from the IFB, both as a movement and as a pastor. He talks about what led him to this change, the IFB, Calvinism, Crown College, the help of Christian Podcast like the Recovering Fundamental Podcast, and where he's going next. This 3rd installment of our "Breaking Baptist Edition" cuts to the heart of how people who leave the IFB perceive it and how they don't leave the fundamentals of the faith even if they are no longer an Independent Fundamental Baptist.

We revisit a topic we had covered before with some corrections. We explore the root of baptism is Jewish culture, why John baptized Jesus, and the difference between water baptism and spirit baptism. This is a topic that has probably split the most churches so much as becoming the literal name of several denominations.

We address how anti-Christian Marxism is and what this means for Christians support of the BLM organization itself.

He dives into what that means for his faith, how he went from an Independent Fundamental Baptist to a Jew, his perspective on Christian "holidays" like Easter, Christmas, and Halloween, and his understanding of mysticism.  This is what we mean by Unity in Christ.
